I have never done a VA loan before but my client which is also my ex wants to buy a house with a VA loan but the thing is his paperworks for his VA stuff won’t be done for another month or so but he wants to buy a house now before someone else buys it. So, it is possible to get a VA loan for him without that paperwork?
Any other helpful tips about how VA loans work will be helpful too.
Thanks.

My Fiance and I plan to buy a house about a month before we marry this November and he is currently deployed (USMC). I’m needing to get information on VA loans, how do they work? Do we have to make a down payment on the house? What benefits do we get? Do you have to have a good credit to get this loan, and who do we go through to get it? Any information would be helpful. It’s the first time buying a house for both of us so we’re pretty much in the dark. Thank you!

There is an HUD home for around $30000, my husband an i are thinking about purchasing, we’d need a mortgage for around $50000. We don’t have good credit, can a VA loan help with that? Any other suggestions?
Just to clarify, the house is valued at $78000, but has been on the market for 2 years, which is why the broker has lowered the price to 30000.

My mother in law qualifies for the VA home loan, through her late husband who was in Vietnam and died from something he contracted from the war. Agent orange? I think? I’m not sure. Anyway. She wants to use this VA loan to get me and my husband a house. Can she do this if she isn’t planning on living there? Also, is the VA home loan based on her income?

My husband was in the military and has passed away. Does anyone know if I would still qualify for a VA Loan.

Say I had a house for sell for 100 bucks. Someone offers 200 bucks and has a conventional loan. Another person offers 300 bucks and has a VA loan. I accept the higher offer but then the VA loan appraiser appraised my house at 100 bucks. Does that mean that 100 bucks is the maximum I can get for this house? Did the real estate agent for the VA Loan person know this ahead of time and sent out a high offer knowing I would reject the second? Is this legal?
If VA loans suck so bad, then why would anyone sell to a person with one?

Please share your experiences! Was it painless or a pain in the butt? Do you have to have perfect credit? What types of fees did you pay at closing if any? How long did it take you to close after finding the house?
Thanks!
