Sunday 25 July 2010 @ 3:51 pm
fha loans

My payment when i purchased my home in nov. 08 was to be 1464. I know have a payment of 1952 due to a escrow shortage….. (property taxes) what can i do ? if i can not pay the whole amount and only pay the 1133 which is my principal, what could happen? I asked to take out my taxes but i cant because of it being a fha loan… so what would happen if i dont send that extra in for the escrow?

Should I refinance? FHA Streamline from 6% to 5%?

Monday 19 July 2010 @ 11:45 pm
fha refinance

I bought a house about 7 months ago.
I paid down 3% on an FHA loan at 6% for about $184K
Now the same mortgage broker is offering me an FHA streamline down to 5%.
He says there are no fees or appraisals, except for the Mortgage insurance fee which is about 2400 (they’re rolling that into the loan) and I make one payment to the title company (about $1370). My mortgage payments will be about $95 lower. Seems pretty good to me, I just hate to change banks because I really liked the bank I was with so far (I suppose my loan could get sold anyway). The new loan would be somewhere around 187K.
Does that mean that the 3% I put down the first time won’t count for anything anymore?

Do FHA loans allow people to buy homes when they can’t afford it?

Thursday 24 June 2010 @ 12:50 am
fha loans

I read that you only need to put 3% down for an FHA loan. This number seems really low. If you can’t afford a decent down payment, then maybe you can’t really afford the house. Why do people feel they are entitled to own a house???

Thank you, Michael. Do you know if the interest rate is negotiable or it will just vary by the lender?
