I was thinking about purchasing either the Vantage Score or the Fico Score. Some so called experts say the Vantage score is a joke and say do not waste your money. I want others opinion.

fico is the most accurate score
Vantage is not widely used yet and the results differ greatly from FICO. In fact, it seems, among other things, that it penalizes a person if they are not a home owner with an existing, open mortgage.
If you are just wanting to know your scores, I would suggest going with FICO. If you know what your FICO is already and just want to compare, spend the $5.95 and get the Vantage.
FICO is the most widely used standard. You might want the Vantage if your potential lender uses it, but otherwise, stick with FICO.
