My friend was pre- approved for a FHA loan around 6 months ago just found a home and was told the guidelines have recently change and she no longer qualifies.
My husband and I was also pre-approve for a FHA loan using a different lender do you think this would effect use to?
I know are credit is better then the’s, are credit score is around 695 that’s for both of us.(my husband and I)
I thought FHA was giving a higher loan amount.

We are looking to buy a house this year and are waiting on being pre-approved for an FHA loan. We have to be approved manually because my boyfriend has no credit but a good job history and non-conventional lines of credit (utility bills, etc.) and I have an okay credit score but have only been at my current job for 6 months. Has anyone had any experience with this, how long does it usually take? It’s been a week, I don’t want to contact any realtors until we are pre-approved.

I find plenty of calculators, but I want to actually build my own so I can make it fancy with sliders to balance between lump-sum payout and monthly payments and equity line. Anyone know? Thanks much!

I am refinancing my FHA mortgage to a conventional loan. My current lender requires that I pay interest until 03/01 even though the loan will be paid off a few days into February by the new lender. Essentially I will be paying interest to two lenders for most of February. I called the current lender and they stated it will not be refunded once the pay-off is received. Anyone know why this is and if there is any way around that?

My dad is 60 years old, he wants to retire in 2 years at age 62. He bought a $200k home couple of years ago, if he applies for Reverse Mortgage, does he have to make payments on his property?
Thanks

I’m trying to buy a house, the government assistance program I was going to use just said they’ve run out of money.
Can I get a gift check from the seller to help with the down payment if that transaction is not written into any legal documents? I need to get an fha loan.
what if the seller was a friend and wanted to give me the money?

I purchased my home about 2 years ago and I have an FHA loan with 6.375% rate. I’m wondering if it is worth it to do a Streamline refinance at a lower rate. I might be able to get a percentage point lower, but I doubt rates are going to go too much lower than that? What do you think?

So what gives when refinancing FHA that the property has to have been occupied for the previous 12 months? My ex is buying me out of the house that’s in his name, hasn’t lived there in a year but will again once it closes, and FHA won’t put the refi thru in his own name because of occupation issues. With the housing slump as bad as it is, you think they’d be jumping on it. It’s not even creative financing. His debt to income ratio is perfect. This is the only hold up with his refi. We can’t be the only people in the country that an ex-spouse bought out the other and refinanced. Any suggestions to work around this?
house is still in both our names. i’ve lived there past 12 months, he hasn’t. i’m due my downpayment back on the house per the divorce which is why he’s trying to fha refinance at 95% without me on the new mortgage.
