Does FHA cover refinance if you’re doing a c4d?

fha refinance

We’re buying a home on Contract for Deed. He’ll carry C4D for two years, then we have to have it refinanced. Can we apply for an FHA loan? Someone was saying they weren’t sure if we could apply for FHA with a “refinance”. Anyone know for sure? Oh and we live in Minnesota if that makes a difference.

Technically, it won’t be a refinance, it will be an outright purchase. But FHA has alot of fine print, and what works now may not work 2 years from now. So even if you obtain a definitive answer now, this could be off the table when you are looking to purchase.
