There has been a horrible amount of false and fraudulent business practices enticing people into really bad mortgages, who then got foreclosed on. How many did this happen to, and anyone have ANOTHER company scam them by saying they would help them out, when they just wanted to help THEMSELVES out at your expense ???

I think they were required to show you the truth in lending form before your mortgage closed. That paper shows exactly what the cost of the credit is, so I’m not sure how a person could get “scammed.” If a person buys something that they can’t afford, how is that the fault of the seller?
I agree with Brad. Nobody got scammed on this except the poor American tax payers who are paying to bail out the lending institutions, and soon to bail out individuals who were too stupid to be lent money in the first place.
